Remember Online Status of Players when Logging Off and On
I would like the game to remember my status when I log out and then back in. If my status is AWAY, DO NOT DISTURB or even OFFLINE I would like the game to remember that and log me in that way again once I log back in.

Why? If you just logged in you're obviously not "away" are you?
If you really want to be antisocial you can take the time to press N. |

No I want it as a feature I don't want to have to press N everytime I log in. The game should remember it. I wasn't asking you anyways. This is a suggestion to Anet and Anet alone. You are not allowed to participate. <grin>

How hard is it to press n and choose from a menu? And as onarik said if you just log in then you are obviously not away or offline. |

/signed. I hate always signing in as online, and some idiot just automatically starts talking to me when I've only got a half hour to be online. It happens heaps, before I even get a chance to hit appear offline someone's already bugging me...

You can just change it and it was just cause more problems if you forgot about it and were contantly AFK, no noe could even whisp you to let you know. Appear offline would be good for anti social people like myself but not really worth implementing for guild wars. |

/signed because a few people have decided they're my friends after I traded with them once, and now they will NOT leave me alone. I won't even respond, but they'll still have an entire one-sided conversation about nothing in particular while I'm trying to clear a dungeon. Sometimes I don't remember to set myself as Away until after one of them has PMed me, and by that point it's too late. I don't want to be nasty and tell them to piss off, and I don't want them to get the passive-aggressive "This player is ignoring you" thing. I just want them to think I'm not around to talk.
I don't want to be Offline or DND because I DO have friends in the game that I want to talk to. They already know to PM me anyway. :P /hermit Also, /signed |

quite often i get pmed the second im on, and obviously thats because i can take a while t load, i dont always want to talk to people, sometimes i'm coming on for a few secs and then off again, or im doing somethign i dont want to be disturbed with. one example would be when im exchanging inventory items over a large group of charcters, its annoying to constantly click offline and sometimes you arent quick enough.
far simplier if the program recalled that you were last offline, as MSN Messenger does, and leaves you there /signed |

i set my self offline becuase i dont want ppl to pm me, i then have the need to change char, when i do, im set online again, so that person pms me :P .. then i have to reset myself offline, now it just looks like i am ingnoring him.

I don't feel like being bothered all the time and it seems like some people just watch the friends/guild list for when I come on and start whispering. Even worse, someone always decides to announce my arrival in alliance chat. I would love this feature. |

/signed. Being able to press N from the character select screen to change your status and check your friends list for people you would rather avoid would even be enough.
Sometimes you just want to log on and not have anyone know you've been on. |
